Mid-season update

It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through the 2024 eventing season and a time that will be remembered with such sadness with the tragic passing of Georgie. Our thoughts remain very much with Jesse and her family.

The strength of the eventing community has shone through more than ever, and it really makes you appreciate every moment of what we do.

We started our season back in March and safe to say the weather has really played a huge part – it has not been on side. We had a fair few abandoned events, but organisers have been amazing – such as the team at Tweseldown putting on an event last minute when Cirencester had to abandon. It is really appreciated when such huge efforts are put in for us to get runs.

Sadly, our seasoned campaigner Piccolo V has had his last runs eventing, and is now destined to hopefully make a comeback in showjumping. He has been a brilliant horse and given us lots of fantastic days. He will now be rehabbed and look forward to hopefully winning some money crossing to the dark side of BS!!

The rest of the horses have all been progressing well. Stand outs so far, is having Hazard Z back on top form. He has stepped back up to intermediate level, storming around his first 3*S at Aston and I am really looking forward to the rest of the season with him. 6YO MBF Jackpot got his first BE point jumping a double clear in the novice at Aston. I will look to consolidate him at this level with the aim of the 6YO championships at the end of the season. Global Typhoon and FDA She is so Dignified were new rides from last season and have come out really well this year. They have both still got lots to learn, but are full of promise for the future.
