It has been great to get Oli out and about eventing this year, with 2018 being his first season properly competing. He is a horse I have always been quite excited about and now as a 6 year old he is really ready to crack on.
He started the year off learning the game at BE100 level. After jumping two double clears and finding the BE100plus at Nunney very straightforward, he felt ready for Novice. Farley was his first event at this level and after an interesting warm up in the show-jumping (!), he went on to jump two great rounds, but still very much learning at this level.
Yesterday saw him tackle his second Novice event at Upton House. I was thrilled with how he came out and he jumped a super double clear to gain his first BE point. The season plan with him has always been to aim for Osberton 6 year Championships and also potentially Millstreet, which after this performance I feel he is really on target for.
